As the Chief External Officer of the Women’s Bureau, Jeanette created best processes that doubled key fundraising event participation from the previous year, allowing the agency to break a world record and erase a $120,000 deficit in fewer than 12 months. She aligned internal communication and created a cohesive team of ambassadors from within the agency who expanded the agency’s reach within Northeast Indiana by telling the organization’s story to community groups, and talking to members of the media often several times a week.
Throughout her career, Jeanette has been consistently drawn to work that involves the marginalized – from raising funds for people with disabilities, to running programs to help recovering addicts reunite with their families, to helping women establish careers and livelihoods free of violence – Jeanette has successfully moved herself and organizations forward because she committed her career to communicating with, advocating for, and helping others.
